“In Rigpa, the wisdom of discernment is one of five wisdoms that are said to represent the nature of the mind:
Wisdom of discernment: The ability to distinguish between different phenomena without confusion. It is the knowledge that all things are distinct in samsara and nirvana, while being equal in their absolute nature.
The other four wisdoms are:
Wisdom of all-encompassing space: The openness and vastness of the mind
Mirror-like wisdom: The mind's ability to reflect whatever comes before it in precise detail
Wisdom of equality: The mind's fundamental lack of bias towards any impression
All-accomplishing wisdom: The mind's potential to have everything already accomplished, perfected, and spontaneously present
Rigpa is also described as "reflexively self-aware primordial wisdom".
